Gillian Joseph

Gillian Joseph is a Guelph-based artist who is an Associate Member of the Society of Canadian Artists.  Her work invites viewers to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, capturing fleeting moments of light, texture and emotion that often go unnoticed.   For over ten years, Gillian has explored the expressive possibilities of acrylic, watercolour, and charcoal, creating works that play with contrast, light, and feeling.  She shows and sells her work through her Guelph studio, "Gillian Joseph Art and Craft", and her original paintings, prints and cards at the Guelph Artisan Shop in downtown Guelph.  In the Winter, Gillian runs a community Art and Craft group with monthly workshops featuring local artists and craftspeople and she helps organize an annual community Exhibition and Sale for 20 resident artists.  Her work has been shown at a number of galleries in Canada and beyond.  Gillian is pleased to take commissions of any size.  She is the  Webmaster for the GCAA and  sits on the Volunteer  Committee for the Art Gallery of Guelph Gallery Store, working as the social media consultant.
